Phil’s been in the hair and beauty industry for 23 years. Originally as a hairdresser before moving in to brand management and business development, which in various roles has taken him across Australia/NZ, America, Europe, the UK and Asia.

Phil started Hair & Beauty Collective in 2017 as destination for salons to access world-leading brands and education, in addition to collaborating with each other and fostering a true local community.

Technical Educator

Maria has an impressive resume over 2 decades which has seen her work around the country & across previous education roles with major professional hair care & colour lines. Maria has a great work-ethic and desire to see people and salons reach their full potential.

Maria is understanding of the challenges that come with running a successful salon, and with a keen eye for detail and great attentiveness, she’s going to be a fantastic asset for HBC and our partner salons.

Introducing Ebony, our dynamic Business Development Manager, whose rich background in our industry brings a wealth of expertise to our team. We are fortunate to have such a well-equipped stylist on board.

With Ebony at the helm, clients can trust in her intimate knowledge of salon operations, ensuring your business receives optimal support and top-notch products throughout the year. When she's not hard at work, you'll find Ebony enjoying a refreshing beer and basking in the sun at the front of the Exeter.

A hometown girl, Ashleigh returns to her roots after several successful years working with O&M in Melbourne, bringing with her a wealth of experience and industry insight.

Ashleigh’s passion for the hairdressing industry and her commitment to fostering strong relationships make her a fantastic partner for salons. Her deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the market equips her to support salon owners and their teams with tailored solutions and strategies for growth.

With Ashleigh’s expertise and enthusiasm, we are confident she will make a significant impact, helping us strengthen our presence in Adelaide and empowering salons to achieve new heights.

Business Development Manager

With scissors in hand since 2009, Nicole brings over a decade of industry experience to the HBC team. These days, she’s swapped the salon floor for our St Peters office — connecting with salons across Australia and helping them grow with the right brands, the right education, and just the right amount of sass.

When she’s not buried in client calls, you’ll find her teaching gym classes, smashing out workouts, or playing fetch with her energetic (read: ball-obsessed) border collie, Tilly. She’s powered by dirty chai’s by day… and hard lemonades by night.

Operations & Administration Coordinator

Shiela keeps the wheels turning across the entire business — not just orders, but the whole machine. Calm, organised, and always a step ahead.

Off the clock, she's with her young family or holding the mic at karaoke, where she has a signature song and no hesitation about using it.

Marketing Consultant

Bringing over 12 years of creative experience from a wide range of industries. Her innovative approach infuses every aspect of the brand with a touch of magic. She is passionate about sustainability and incorporates eco-friendly practices into her design process.

When she’s not immersed in her work, you’ll find Hannah playing with her kids at a playground with a strong long black (in a reusable travel cup of course!).

Marketing & Graphic Design Lead

Leilani is a multidisciplinary designer who specialises in print and digital design. Having worked as a graphic designer for a variety of industries, she has had the opportunity to produce meaningful work that has connected with a wide range of people.
